Just a friendly reminder to be even more diligent and observant than usual.
Don’t text or talk on the phone while driving.
Observe school zone speeds.
Take the time to make teacher parent activities so you can get to know the person who is spending more awake-time with your kids than you are (I know, not harsh, I went though it too!).
You don’t have to be in the PTA or make the bake sales, but try to make an effort to know the teacher(s). It goes a long way to making communication smoother and less stressful.
Make sure the school has your ICE list contact info: you, a close friend and/or relative that can be contacted In Case of Emergency -phone number, email, place of business, etc -AND have the forms filled out for who can pick your child up in the event you can’t.
Above all, parents: Celebrate lol -you have some of your “me time” back 🙂
